Borko Drašković, MA, is presently the director of the Republic Geodetic Authority. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade, Department of Geodesy and holds a master's degree from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences on the application of crowdsourcing technology and digital platform of the national spatial data infrastructure in environmental protection of the Republic of Serbia.
As the director of the Republic Geodetic Authority, he has been implementing the cadastral reform with great enthusiasm for six years. He was appointed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia as the President of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Council, the President of the Steering Committee and a member of the Project Council of the "Real Estate Management Project" which is implemented with the support of the World Bank. He is the representative of the Republic of Serbia in the UN Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management. He is also a member of other international organizations.
In order to reform the cadaster entrusted to him, he is credited with promulgating amendments to a number of laws and other legal acts with the aim to facilitate for businesses and citizens to register property in the Real Estate Cadastre. One of the most demanding, which is coming to an end, is the process of digitalization through a new information system.
He is the holder of the award and recognition for the Reformer of the Year 2018, the Faculty of Geodesy and Geography for cooperation and development of the faculty, the recognition of the World Bank for the promotion of gender equality and others for urbanism and planning.
The most significant for Mr Borko Drašković is the trust of citizens in the Republic Geodetic Authority, which holds a high 18th place in Serbia on the Alexa World Site Indicator, as well as the 79th place for the site of the Republic Geodetic Authority – Geosrbija, thus ranking the Republic Geodetic Authority as the most visited governmental institution.
